Song of Iota is related to, entangled with, the text poam Ant Farm, published in Last Chance for the Tarzan Holler by Thylias Moss
(21:06) Song of Iotaaudio component& video componentare each full of the delight I felt in this knowledge mine alone (configured in this forked manner) with some contributions from everything that converged in the moment of my revelation, effectively all the tines); mine alone for the rest of Saturday night and Sunday till I shared my new understanding in class on Monday. | Soundtrack of the first Limited Fork Theory piece, a poam made in October 2004 after a revelation happened earlier that day at the Quality 16 Cinema on Jackson Road: the birth of Limited Fork Theory as Limited Fork Poetics. (music composed & performed by Ansted, now of Strexx Quantum Orchestra; vocals by Thylias Moss) I was so transformed by this tool that I jettisoned immediately in the movie theater on Saturday all that I had believed about everything when I arrived at the theater. The foundation of my reconfiguration was so structurally sound that I knew how to think and make diferently immediately, producing the 30-minute moving text piece (below) that night, text composed in the movie editing applicaion, the text of which did not exist on static hosts (paper) until about a year later, adapted from the moving text poam for a more visually fixed experience. The print form, prepared from the time-based form, was published in Gargoyle. |
Song of Iota explores interactions across scale, linking ants and their generalized behavior as a super organism to the strategies of movement and behavior in galactic systems. Ants are also linked to atoms in their suggesting solidity (gaps remain between the ants as there are gaps between tines as there are gaps in aromic structure) when they asemble, apparently forming a church fan apparently the sole of a shoe worn by a myrmyrcologist.
think Iota: think quanta

The ants eating ice cream in the image below (will soon offer as increased numbers extend the ant density) offer a strong visual likeness or limited fork theory metaphork for the iota in form of ants in Song of Iota forming a boot sole and a church fan. Also a depiction of limited fork theory kaleidoscopic extension. ![]() | The leafcutter ants in the image below offer a strong visual likeness or limited fork theory metaphork for the iota in form of ants in Song of Iota dispersing with pieces (or iota) of boot sole or pieces (or iota) of church fan. Also a depiction of limited fork theory kaleidoscopic extension. |
Above, ants surround and claim a larva-like McDonald's French fry at the School of Art. Image from forkergirl's collection of evidence of interaction.
The ants in the video below are at home in a universe within a universe within a universe (system of multiverse); this dynamic formic system configures and reconfigures temporary structures of their interactions. Phases of multiple configurations occur simultaneously, some structures apparently organizing and stabilizing, other structures apparently disorganizing and destabilizing.
